The aboriginal communities of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) lands in the remote areas of north west South Australia are about to enjoy the benefits of 8 new East Wind Tractors.
The Bungala Aboriginal Corporation was set up to deliver the community development program for areas such as the APY lands. David Pearce CEO advised "We were looking for some suitable equipment to implement our waste management requirements. Our experience has shown that tractors with trailers best meet our needs. We have also learnt that good basic designs without fancy complicated electronics are the most practical to keep running out in these remote areas.

Bill Bejan who manages our procurement of capital equipment did some research and selected these East Wind tractors for their simplicity and robust design. It would also be fair to say when we looked at the price they represented great value."
"We were impressed to see the guys from East Wind come out and handover the tractors and provide an induction on their operation" continued Pearce.
Scott Spring-Brown, director of East Wind Tractors added "We are pleased to be involved in such community development programs for indigenous people and have the resources to provide the backup needed in such remote locations."
